Langley’s team had to give her a heads-up, whispering, “Prepare yourself. It’s Reba.” The “You Look Like You Love Me” singer froze, watching as McEntire walked past her. Though initially planning to let the legend go by, Langley couldn’t resist and blurted out, “Reba, Reba — uh, Miss Reba!”
Reba Knew Her Name
To Langley’s surprise, the iconic redhead turned around and, even before Langley could introduce herself, said her full name: “Ella Langley.”
“She knew who I was before I could introduce myself, and I was just stunned,” Langley shared. “All I could get out was, ‘I love you, I love you.'” She described the moment as “cool” and “nuts.”
A Night of Triumphs
Langley went on to have an incredible night at the ACM Awards, taking home five awards from her eight nominations. She also delivered a show-stopping performance of “Kerosene” with Miranda Lambert.
