Introduction
It’s been exactly one year since Ella Langley and Riley Green dropped their playful duet, “You Look Like You Love Me,” and the buzz is still going strong! This catchy tune didn’t just spark dating rumors; it also racked up major awards from both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association (CMA), including Musical Event of the Year.
The song truly launched Langley into the national spotlight, culminating in her taking home more trophies than any other artist at last month’s ACM Awards, earning her the title of New Female Artist of the Year.
Reflecting on the incredible journey, Langley, 26, shared her thoughts on Instagram this past Saturday (June 21): “The last 365 days have been the craziest time of my life, and it all started with a song me and Aaron Ratiere wrote as a joke.”
She went on to express her gratitude, saying, “Thank you to everyone who has loved this song the way we have. Thank you to [Riley Green] who came and made the song what it needed to be, thank you to country radio for my first number one. This song changed my life. EXCUSE ME!!!!”
