Surprise Guest! Koe Wetzel Joins Ella Langley on Stage at Texas Concert - Country 103.7

Ella Langley Brings Out Koe Wetzel for Surprise Duet in Texas

During her recent stop in Texas, rising country powerhouse Ella Langley gave fans a night they won’t soon forget. In the middle of her Still Hungover Tour, Langley shocked the sold-out crowd at Billy Bob’s Texas when none other than Koe Wetzel swaggered onto the stage. The two joined forces for a surprise performance that sent the audience into a frenzy.

A Surprise Worth Remembering

Langley’s Texas run coincided perfectly with the release of her latest single, “Choosin’ Texas,” a fiery collaboration co-written with Miranda Lambert. But on October 19, fans were treated to something extra special when Langley invited Wetzel to perform their duet, “That’s Why We Fight,” the lead single from her acclaimed EP Excuse the Mess.

The crowd erupted as Wetzel walked out right before his verse, guitar in hand, and stayed through the end of the song — trading verses and grins with Langley as the audience sang every word back to them.

Speaking about the track, Langley told Whiskey Riff, “‘That’s Why We Fight’ is about one of those relationships where fighting is the thing that keeps you together. Your significant other is your favorite person to fight with. It adds a little spice and keeps things interesting. I wouldn’t recommend a relationship like this, but we’ve all had one. I’ve been a fan of Koe for a long time, and it was really cool he jammed on it.”

Wrapping Up Her Texas Leg

The surprise collaboration served as the perfect finale to Langley’s string of Texas shows, marking one of the biggest moments of her Still Hungover Tour so far. Wetzel, known for his hit “High Road” and his own rowdy live performances, brought an extra layer of energy that matched Langley’s intensity note for note.

Fans took to social media immediately after the show, posting clips and praising the duo’s chemistry. “Best night ever,” one fan wrote. “Didn’t expect Koe, but Ella absolutely killed it!”

What’s Next for Ella Langley

Langley’s Still Hungover Tour continues across the South through early November, with stops in Athens (October 24), Chattanooga (October 30), Starkville (October 31), and two final shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on November 6 and 7.

She’s also slated to perform at the Bootleggers Bonfire 2025 in Miramar Beach, Florida on October 25, before joining Eric Church for his massive Free The Machine Tour in 2026. The pair will kick off that run in Omaha, Nebraska (February 5), followed by dates in Sioux Falls, Saint Paul, Toronto, Buffalo, and Albany.

With her powerhouse vocals, fiery stage presence, and unstoppable momentum, Ella Langley continues to prove she’s one of country music’s most exciting new forces — and judging by the crowd’s reaction in Texas, the best is yet to come.
