George Strait’s “Strait To The Heart” Benefit Raises $6.25 Million For Texas Flood Relief
Boerne, Texas — Country legend George Strait and his Vaqueros del Mar partner Tom Cusick hosted Strait To The Heart, an intimate benefit dinner and concert held Sunday (July 27) at Estancia at Thunder Valley in Boerne, Texas.
The sold-out event drew a crowd of more than 1,200 guests and raised over $6.25 million (and counting) to support those affected by the devastating flooding across Texas’ Hill Country.
Performers included Wade Bowen, Randy Houser, Dean Dillon, Riley Green, Jamey Johnson, and others who came together for an evening of music and philanthropy.
Riley Green & Ella Langley’s “Don’t Mind If I Do” Certified Platinum
Rising stars Riley Green and Ella Langley have reached a major milestone with their duet “Don’t Mind If I Do”, which has officially been certified RIAA Platinum.
The single—written solely by Green—serves as the title track from his most recent project and continues to climb country charts nationwide.

Country Music Hall of Fame Honors Dennis Morgan in “Poets and Prophets” Series
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum recently spotlighted acclaimed songwriter Dennis Morgan during its Poets and Prophets interview series.
Hosted by museum writer-editor Allison Moorer, the program explored Morgan’s storied career, featuring archival photos, videos, and hit recordings from his extensive catalog—which includes more than 20 No. 1 singles recorded by Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, George Strait, and others.
Morgan performed several of his iconic songs, joined on stage by Billy Burnette and Shawn Camp for a rendition of Strait’s “River of Love.” The filmed event will premiere later this year as part of the museum’s Live at the Hall digital series.
TONS & W Nashville Host Second Installment of TONS Live
The Other Nashville Society (TONS) partnered with W Nashville for the second edition of TONS Live Presented by W Nashville, a live music experience showcasing the city’s genre-blending new wave of talent.
Performers included Tim Gent, Yours Truly Jai, and 2’Live Bre, with DJ Afrosheen spinning between sets. The next event in the series is set for Thursday, August 21, also at W Nashville.
Waylon Hanel Signs With JWA Media for PR Representation
Country newcomer Waylon Hanel has joined JWA Media for public relations and publicity representation.
The Michigan native’s catalog features his debut self-titled EP, full-length album New Old Outlaws, and third EP Don’t Mess With My Country. His latest single, “Tow Truck Driver,” dropped in June, with “Red Bricks” slated for release in September.
Big Loud Rock Appoints Jenny Huynh as Director of Media
Big Loud Rock has named Jenny Huynh as its new Director of Media, where she will lead press strategy and media outreach for the label’s growing alternative and rock roster.
Huynh will report to Corey Brewer (VP, Media/PR), Brooks Roach (SVP of Marketing), Joey Moi (Partner/President), and Lloyd Norman (EVP/GM, Big Loud Rock).
Previously a publicist at 2b Entertainment, Huynh’s credits include work with Green Day, Shania Twain, Josh Groban, My Chemical Romance, Little Big Town, and Maggie Lindemann, among others.
“The team’s energy is unmatched, and I can’t wait to amplify the stories of this diverse roster,” Huynh shared.
