Country music fans are in for a treat as the Two for the Road Tour kicks off Thursday night in Saginaw, Michigan, featuring Scotty McCreery, Dustin Lynch, and a special collaborative twist.
“This is something a little different,” Scotty tells ABC Audio. “We’ll be doing something together. We’ve been bouncing around ideas for songs, production, and all that, so it’s gonna be exciting.”
The format is unique for fans of both artists. “We’re both gonna have our shows,” Scotty explains. “If you’re a fan of Dustin, you’re gonna see Dustin’s full show. If you’re a fan of me, you’re gonna see my full show. Then we’ll come together at the end for a big little party to close it all out.”
For Scotty, the experience is entirely new. “I’ve never done the co-headline thing before,” he says. “I love everything about the idea… putting all of our stuff together on one big stage, making one big show, and bringing all the fans together. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about—just having fun.”
The tour will feature a dozen shows across the country, wrapping up on Dec. 6 in Duluth, Minnesota. Fans can expect a mix of chart-topping hits from both artists, plus a few surprises during the collaborative finale.
