Travis Tritt to headline concert at 120th Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair

Travis Tritt Announced as 2026 Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair Headliner

PETOSKEY — Country music fans across northern Michigan have a major event to look forward to as award-winning singer-songwriter Travis Tritt has officially been confirmed as the headlining performer for the 2026 Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair concert. The announcement has already sparked excitement throughout the region, marking one of the most anticipated entertainment bookings in the fair’s long-running history.

The news became official after the Emmet County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the artist agreement in the amount of $155,000 during their meeting on Monday, Nov. 10. County officials noted that securing a performer of Tritt’s caliber reflects their ongoing commitment to enhancing the fair’s entertainment lineup and elevating the experience for both residents and visitors.

Travis Tritt, widely recognized as one of the most influential voices in 1990s and modern country music, brings with him an impressive legacy. Throughout his decades-long career, he has earned two Grammy Awards for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1992 and 1998, along with four Country Music Association awards. Known for hit singles such as “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” “Help Me Hold On,” “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares),” and “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive,” Tritt has also celebrated five number-one singles on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Just earlier this year, Tritt performed alongside fellow country star Jason Aldean at the CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee — proving that his stage presence and fan appeal remain stronger than ever. His continued success on tour has underscored his ability to draw large crowds, making his upcoming appearance at the Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair a major attraction.

The 120th annual Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair is scheduled to take place from Aug. 24–30, 2026, continuing its long-standing tradition as one of the region’s most cherished summer events. The Travis Tritt concert is set for Aug. 26, serving as one of the fair’s premier grandstand performances.

Fair organizers expect strong ticket demand once sales open, especially given Tritt’s national popularity and the growing attention surrounding the milestone anniversary of the fair. In addition to the concert, attendees can look forward to the classic lineup of carnival rides, livestock exhibitions, food vendors, competitions, and family-friendly entertainment.

With Travis Tritt set to take the stage, community leaders believe the 2026 fair could break attendance records and provide an unforgettable experience for fairgoers. For many fans, this headline concert is more than just entertainment — it’s a chance to celebrate the music and memories of a country legend.
