Just over a month after the death of Brandon Blackstock, country legend Reba McEntire has offered the first public update on how his family is coping.
Brandon, 48, died on August 7 following a private battle with cancer, leaving behind four children, including River Rose and Remington, his young kids with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the Emmys red carpet Sunday, Reba said, “We miss him. We miss him every minute.”
She added that the children are “doing well…all bonding together and hanging out with each other and taking it one day at a time. We know God’s got this.”
The update came the same evening Reba confirmed her own joyful news—her engagement to longtime partner Rex Linn—a moment of personal happiness amid the family’s ongoing grief.
