Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley have shared one of the wildest stories to come out of Nashville lately — the night they partied so hard that a deck literally collapsed.
Langley first brought up the incident during an interview on Taste of Country Nights. When asked if she had a question for Lainey, Langley laughed and said, “Ask her if she’s fixed that one deck.”
Naturally, the hosts were confused — until Wilson joined them later that day. Partnering with Coors Light to promote their new Chill on Shuffle platform, the “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer burst out laughing when she heard Langley’s question.
“So… one night, she came over here,” Wilson recalled. “It was her and her publicist. We got to talking, drinking, having a good time — and all of a sudden, the deck just gave out.”
According to Wilson, the deck wasn’t far off the ground, so thankfully, no one was hurt — though Langley’s publicist did take an unexpected tumble. “It wasn’t a big fall, just a little surprise,” Wilson said with a grin. She also admitted she still hasn’t fixed the deck.
The story has since become a fan-favorite anecdote — a perfect mix of chaos, country charm, and friendship between two of country music’s rising stars.
Wilson recently wrapped the international leg of her Whirlwind Tour on March 19 before kicking off the U.S. leg on May 30, with shows running through November 8. Langley, meanwhile, continues her red-hot streak following her Still Hungover tour and viral singles like “Weren’t for the Wind.”
One thing’s for sure — when these two powerhouse women get together, it’s never a dull night. And if that deck could talk, it would probably say the same.
