“Excuses” is a country pop song by American singer Kane Brown. It was released on March 25, 2016, as the lead single from his debut studio album, Kane Brown (2016). The song was written by Brown, Matthew McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt.

“Excuses” peaked at number five on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. It has been certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over three million units in the United States.  

The music video for “Excuses” was released on April 12, 2016. It was directed by TK McKamy and features Brown performing the song in a variety of settings, including a recording studio, a concert stage, and a hotel room. The video has been viewed over 300 million times on YouTube.

“Excuses” was a critical and commercial success. It helped to establish Brown as a rising star in country music and earned him numerous awards and nominations, including a nomination for Best Country Solo Performance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
