Ella Langley Reflects on a Career High Marked by Personal Struggles

Ella Langley is no stranger to the rollercoaster of country music stardom, but few moments have captured that duality more than her recent night at the 2025 ACM Awards. What should have been an evening of pure celebration turned out to be both the proudest and most difficult day of her career.

During a candid conversation with Taste of Country Nights, the 26-year-old singer revealed that her “best and worst day” happened simultaneously.
“I’d have to say it was the awards show,” Langley admitted. “It was an incredible honor, but I had such a tough week. I’ve shared that openly before.”

Langley entered the ACM Awards as the most-nominated artist of the night and left with five trophies—more than any other performer. Yet behind the glittering accolades, she was quietly battling a familiar challenge: her mental health.

Speaking with Audacy after her wins, Langley didn’t hesitate to pull back the curtain. “This past week has been one of the hardest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long time,” she shared. “It’s crazy because so many dreams are coming true, but mental health doesn’t wait for a convenient moment. It’s something that runs in my family, and it’s a real struggle.”

Despite the internal battle, there were unforgettable highlights. Langley performed “Kerosene” alongside her hero Miranda Lambert and mingled with legends she grew up admiring. “Brooks & Dunn were sitting behind me passing popcorn back and forth. I met Reba. It felt surreal,” she recalled.

Langley says the experience strengthened her faith and perspective. “God has chosen you,” she reflected. “I’ve grown so much closer to Him in the past few months.”

For Langley, the night stands as a powerful reminder that success and struggle can share the same stage. Her openness is inspiring fans to embrace their own challenges, proving that even the brightest spotlight can shine on the darkest moments—and that’s where true resilience lives.
