ACM Awards darling Ella Langley, who took home a remarkable number of trophies this year, has a fun tidbit to share about her touring buddy and “You Look Like You Love Me” collaborator, Riley Green.
That iconic mustache that’s become a talking point? Turns out, Ella played a part in its continued existence!
“Everyone is obsessed with Riley’s mustache. You can absolutely thank me for that,” Langley revealed backstage after her ACM wins, adding with a laugh, “Besides, you know, divine intervention.”
Langley explained that she co-directed the music video for their award-winning duet, “You Look Like You Love Me,” and she envisioned a distinct “old Western” vibe.
“The song just has that feel to me, like it belongs in a saloon in the Old West,” she said. “So, I told Riley point-blank that the mustache absolutely had to stay, at least for the duration of the music video shoot.”
And speaking of signature looks, Langley also addressed her own stylish bangs. It seems they’re here to stay. “I really don’t think I’d get rid of them now,” she admitted. “They just suit my face, you know?”
Then, with a playful wink, she added, “Plus, who needs Botox when you’ve got a great set of bangs?”
