Introduction:

Ella Langley Is Leaning on God During Mental Health Struggles

Ella Langley Opens Up About Mental Health and Faith Amid Meteoric Rise

Country breakout Ella Langley may be one of Nashville’s fastest-rising stars, but she’s proving that success doesn’t always silence self-doubt. The Alabama native recently shared that she has wrestled with impostor syndrome and mental health challenges even as her career reaches new heights.

Langley’s struggle came to a head around the 2025 ACM Awards, where she arrived as a top nominee and left with multiple trophies. “I won’t lie, this last week has been probably one of the toughest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long time,” she admitted. “Which is crazy, because so many good things are happening—so many things I’ve prayed for and dreamed about.”

The ACMs were a career-defining evening: she performed her hit “Weren’t for the Wind,” teamed up with Miranda Lambert for a fiery rendition of “Kerosene,” and collected more awards to add to her growing list of achievements. Yet Langley described the night as both her brightest and darkest. “That day is the brightest of my career, but it’s also the darkest,” she told Taste of Country Nights.

Rather than hide these feelings, Langley has leaned into her faith for strength and perspective. “God has chosen you,” she reminds herself, noting that the mantra helps her stay grounded when doubts creep in. “I have gotten so close with Him in these past few months.”

Her spiritual focus isn’t new. After winning her first CMA Award last December, Langley explained on the God’s Country podcast that she’s committed to following God’s plan. “I’m really excited about where I’m going next,” she said at the time. “I’m really just letting God take the wheel, honestly.”

As Langley continues to climb country music’s ranks, she’s embracing both the challenges and triumphs that come with her journey. By speaking openly about mental health and relying on her faith, she’s showing fans that even in the spotlight, vulnerability and belief can light the way forward.
