Ella Langley Gives Update After Health-Related Career Pause: "Thank Y'All for Allowing Me This Time" - Wide Open Country

Ella Langley Finds Strength in Taking a Step Back

Even the hardest-working stars need to pause now and then. For rising country singer Ella Langley, that break came at just the right time. The 26-year-old artist, who has been on a whirlwind ride with her career, recently chose to step away briefly to rest and reset. It was a reminder that no matter how busy life gets, health and balance should always come first.

Langley shared her gratitude in a heartfelt post, thanking fans, friends, and family for their love and support during her downtime. Her words made it clear that she values her well-being and the people who stood by her as she took this necessary pause.

“Couldn’t be more thankful for the time to slow down and soak in all the amazing things happening in my life,” she wrote. “I truly have the best family and friends a girl could ask for. Thank y’all for allowing me this time and for every message of love and encouragement. Now, it’s time to get back to it.”

Along with her message, Langley shared a few lighthearted snapshots of herself enjoying simple joys like cooking and reading Scripture — moments that reflect how she refueled both body and spirit.

Just weeks earlier, her tone was much more somber. In August, she announced the difficult decision to cancel a handful of shows, explaining that she had been battling illness and exhaustion.

“I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more worn down than ever,” she revealed at the time. “After a lot of thought, I knew I had to step back to take care of my mind, body, and heart. Sometimes we just have to listen when our bodies tell us to slow down.”

She ended that note with a Bible verse that comforted her in the moment: Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Now, Langley is ready to hit the stage again with renewed energy. She’s scheduled to perform in Illinois on September 7, followed by dates with Morgan Wallen in Canada, and then her own headlining shows in Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas.

Her short break may have been necessary, but it seems to have given her exactly what she needed: the strength to return, recharged and more inspired than ever.
