Ella Langley Pauses Tour to Focus on Health: “Sometimes We Have to Listen to Our Bodies”
Rising country star Ella Langley has announced she will be stepping back from touring this month to prioritize her health.
The 26-year-old singer, best known for her chart-topping collaborations and breakout single “Weren’t For The Wind,” shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, revealing she has been battling illness for several weeks.
“I’m so sad to be posting this,” Langley wrote. “The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health — mind, body, and heart. I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.”
Langley confirmed she will be canceling her scheduled shows in August, including stops in Cleveland, Nashville, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado. She reassured fans that she plans to return to the stage in September, adding: “I’ll be back on the road… ready to give you my all.”
The Alabama native also shared a Bible verse with fans, posting Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
A Career on the Rise
Despite her health struggles, Langley’s career has been skyrocketing. Earlier this year, she scored her second No. 1 on country radio with “You Look Like You Love Me,” a duet with Riley Green, following the success of “Weren’t For The Wind.”
At the 2025 ACM Awards, she was the most nominated artist with eight nods, ultimately taking home five trophies, including New Female Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.
Still, Langley has been candid about the challenges she faces off stage. Speaking after her ACM wins, she admitted: “I won’t lie, this last week has been probably one of the toughest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long time. Which is crazy because so many good things are happening, so many things I’ve prayed for and dreamed about. It’s just a struggle… I think it’s important to talk about it and to share that just because I might seem like I’m on top of a mountain right now, doesn’t mean I feel that way all the time.”
As she takes time to rest and recover, fans across the country have been flooding her social media with messages of support.
Langley’s tour is set to resume in September, marking her return to the spotlight after a much-needed break.
