BREAKING: Travis Tritt Issues Statement After Canceling Remainder of Tour with Chris Janson
Country music icon Travis Tritt has abruptly canceled the remainder of his “Can’t Miss Tour” with fellow artist Chris Janson due to a serious knee injury.
The announcement came via Tritt’s official social media accounts on Tuesday afternoon (November 1, 2022), where the “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” singer shared an emotional statement with fans expressing both his regret and frustration over the situation.
Travis Tritt Reveals Painful Knee Injury
“I have been experiencing severe pain in my left knee for the past few weeks due to a possible torn meniscus,” Tritt revealed in his post. “With short bits of rest between shows, I had hoped that the pain would eventually subside and I could complete all of my remaining dates in November, including all the dates on the current Can’t Miss Tour with Chris Janson and War Hippies.”
However, despite his efforts to continue performing, Tritt admitted that the pain had become unbearable.
“Unfortunately, the pain has become impossible to ignore and I will not be able to do any further shows in November,” he continued. “Refunds for these shows will be available at the point of ticket purchase. I appreciate everyone’s understanding and I hope to return to the road as soon as possible.”
Tour Plans Cut Short
The Can’t Miss Tour — which paired two of country’s biggest personalities — was scheduled to run through November with several major city stops remaining. The trek had been well-received by fans for its blend of Southern rock energy and classic country sound.
While Tritt focuses on recovery, fans have flooded his social media pages with messages of support and well wishes.
Neither Chris Janson nor War Hippies have commented publicly on how the cancellation will affect their tour plans, but both acts have expressed continued support for Tritt behind the scenes.
For now, Travis Tritt is taking the necessary time to heal, assuring fans that he’ll be “back on the road as soon as possible.”
