Mattie Jackson Selecman, daughter of country music legend Alan Jackson, has endured a heartbreaking journey after the tragic loss of her husband, Ben Selecman, in September 2018. Ben passed away after a sudden accident in which he slipped on a dock, suffered a traumatic brain injury, and ultimately died. The couple had been married for less than a year, making the loss all the more devastating.

In May 2023, Mattie and Connor tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise, expressed their joy in welcoming a new son-in-law into the family.
On June 20, 2024, Mattie and Connor welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Wesley Alan Smith. The name was chosen to honor both of their fathers.
