Introduction
On August 28, 1974, the Las Vegas Hilton showroom shook beneath the roar of thousands of fans. Spotlights swept across the room as Elvis Presley launched into “Suspicious Minds,” wearing his iconic white jumpsuit. To the audience, he appeared unstoppable.
