Travis Tritt’s Family Escapes Danger After Fire Breaks Out at Georgia Home: “We’re Grateful Everyone Is Safe”
POWDER SPRINGS, GA — Country music star Travis Tritt and his family are counting their blessings after a frightening fire broke out on the grounds of their Georgia home Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured, but parts of the property were destroyed before firefighters arrived.
The emergency was first reported by Tritt’s 16-year-old son, Tristan, who placed a frantic 911 call as flames spread across the backyard.
“Travis Tritt’s house… right now… is on fire. There are flames everywhere!” he told dispatchers, struggling to catch his breath.
In the background of the recording—later shared online—a dispatcher could be heard quietly acknowledging the celebrity connection:
“It’s Travis Tritt’s house.”
🔥 Playground & Pool House Destroyed
According to officials, the fire consumed a large outdoor playground structure and spread to the property’s pool house. Black smoke rose high enough for neighbors to notice before fire crews arrived and brought the blaze under control.
Tritt’s mother-in-law also called 911 after returning from grocery shopping and seeing flames erupting in the backyard.
Despite the destruction, firefighters confirmed that the main house remained untouched thanks to quick action from the family—and a garden hose Tritt reportedly used while waiting for help.

🙏 Tritt Speaks Out: “Thank God Everyone Is Safe”
The Grammy-winning singer later addressed the incident publicly, expressing both relief and gratitude.
“Fire destroyed the kids’ playground at my house today. Thanking God nobody was hurt and no other major damage.”
He also posted a photo showing two fire trucks beside the charred remains of the playground and a burned trampoline.
Temperatures in the area had climbed into the upper 90s this week, and officials believe the blaze may have been weather-related.

Tritt and wife Theresa are parents to three children:
Tyler, 17

A representative for the singer confirmed that all family members were home at the time and acted quickly to get to safety.
