Travis Tritt Announced as Headliner for 2026 Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair Concert
PETOSKEY — Country music fans are in for a major treat next summer. The Emmet County Board of Commissioners has officially approved Travis Tritt as the headlining performer for the 2026 Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair concert.
The agreement, approved unanimously on Monday, Nov. 10, confirms a $155,000 contract to secure the award-winning artist for one of the fair’s most anticipated annual entertainment events.
The concert will be part of the fair’s 120th anniversary celebration, scheduled for Aug. 24–30, 2026, with Tritt taking the grandstand stage on Aug. 26.
Tritt, known for his signature Southern rock-meets-country sound, has been a staple in country music since the early ’90s. He has earned two Grammy Awards for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals — in 1992 and 1998 — along with four Country Music Association awards. Over his career, he has notched five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and remains a regular touring act.

Most recently, Tritt performed alongside Jason Aldean during the 2025 CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, reaffirming his staying power and his ability to bring in large live audiences.
With a catalog that includes hits like “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares),” “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive,” and “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” the 2026 fair concert is expected to draw a large crowd from across Northern Michigan and beyond.
Tickets and additional event details are expected to be released in the coming months.
For many fans, one thing is already clear: this year’s fair is shaping up to be one they won’t want to miss.
