Travis Tritt and Daughter Tyler Reese Join Forces for a Heartfelt Father’s Day Duet

This Father’s Day, country legend Travis Tritt is sharing the stage — and the spotlight — with someone very special: his 15-year-old daughter, Tyler Reese Tritt. Together, the two will release a stunning remake of “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough,” the timeless 1992 duet made famous by Patty Smyth and Don Henley.

The project has been years in the making. Originally recorded during sessions for Tritt’s 2007 album The Storm, the song never made the final cut. But this year, Tritt has reclaimed the master recording from his former label and is set to give it new life — both as a heartfelt duet and as the lead single for an upcoming re-release of The Storm. It also marks his first official single in six years, making this release all the more meaningful.

As Tritt recalls, the idea came from an unexpected father-daughter moment on the road. “She had never heard the song before,” he explained. “We were driving home from Florida, and it came on her iPod. She started singing along in the backseat — and when it ended, she asked me to play it again five or six more times.”

That spark led to something beautiful. “When we got home, I told my wife I thought Tyler Reese could really do a great job on this song,” he continued. “We agreed, and I took her into the studio to sing her parts. She really nailed it.”

The duet showcases a tender chemistry between father and daughter — Tritt’s rich, soulful voice paired with Tyler Reese’s youthful, emotional delivery brings new depth to the song’s bittersweet lyrics. It’s not just a remake; it’s a family moment captured in harmony.

A music video for the duet is already in production and is expected to premiere soon on major cable and online outlets. Meanwhile, Travis Tritt will be spending much of the year on tour with his full band, performing across the U.S. and Canada — with Tyler Reese joining him for select shows.

From Nevada to New Jersey, Oregon to Ontario, fans can expect a mix of old favorites, deep cuts, and perhaps a live debut of this touching new duet.

For Tritt, it’s more than just another release — it’s a celebration of love, legacy, and the bond that music builds between generations.
