Country music star Travis Tritt is grieving the loss of a cherished friend and colleague. On Wednesday (October 11), Tritt shared that his longtime tour manager and production partner, Scott Minkley, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
Minkley worked alongside Tritt for nearly two decades as tour manager, production manager, and monitor engineer, becoming an essential part of Tritt’s career both on and off the road.
“It is with tremendous sadness when I say that I lost one of the most incredible people that has ever worked for me today,” Tritt wrote on Instagram. “Scott was my right hand man for almost 20 years.”

Tritt remembered Minkley not only for his skill and dedication but also for the friendship that grew over the years.
“His acumen, knowledge and dedication to his job will forever be unsurpassed. He was one in a million and I’ll never find another like him,” Tritt said, adding that Minkley was “a dear friend to me, my family and almost everyone he came in contact with.”

The singer concluded his tribute with heartfelt words of faith and gratitude:
“May he rest in the arms of Jesus until I see him again in heaven. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. In remembrance of Scott, please do something special and good for someone today.”
