Ella Langley Opens Up About Mental Health Struggles Despite ACM Awards Triumph

Country star Ella Langley may have been the biggest winner at the 2025 ACM Awards, but behind the spotlight, she admits the past week has been one of her toughest yet.

Speaking on The Scotty Kay Show, the 26-year-old singer revealed that despite her recent career highs, she has been battling her mental health.

“I won’t lie, this last week has been probably one of the toughest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long time,” Langley shared. “Which is crazy, because so many good things are happening. So many things I’ve prayed for and dreamed about.”

Langley, who has previously been open about struggles with depression, anxiety, and imposter syndrome, explained that mental health challenges run in her family. “It’s just a struggle, it’s just the disease of my family,” she said.

At the ACM Awards on May 8, Langley took home five trophies, including New Female Artist of the Year and four honors for her hit collaboration with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me.” Still, she confessed to feeling out of place when surrounded by some of country music’s biggest names.

“My imposter syndrome [was like]… ‘How can I be in the same category as Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert? That doesn’t make sense to me,’” Langley admitted.

Despite her doubts, she says she leans on gratitude and faith to cope. “I think it’s just about being grateful… spinning it back on what God’s given me in this place that I get to be in.”

Langley also hopes that by being candid about her struggles, she can inspire others. “Hopefully my honesty and realness means some little girl or little boy who wants to do this gets to see that it is tough, but tough things are worth going through if you want them bad enough.”

Her vulnerability has resonated with fans, many of whom praised her for using her platform to highlight the reality behind the glitz and glamour of success.

Langley’s openness is another reminder that even as her career continues to soar, she remains grounded in her faith, honesty, and determination to break the stigma surrounding mental health.
