Introduction:
Ella Langley Opens Up About Mental Health, Returns After Taking Break From Touring
Ella Langley is back — and she’s getting candid about her journey.
Around the 2025 ACM Awards in May, the 26-year-old country singer shared that she had been facing mental health struggles, including imposter syndrome, during what she described as one of the toughest weeks of her career.
By August, the emotional strain caught up with her. Langley announced she would be postponing several shows, admitting she felt “more run down than ever.” On Aug. 11, she told fans she needed to step away to prioritize her health — mind, body, and heart.
“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health,” she wrote at the time. “I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.”
A Restorative Break
Langley went completely quiet until Thursday (Sept. 4), when she returned to Instagram with a carousel of 19 photos and videos. The snapshots showed how she spent her downtime: sitting on her back porch, horseback riding in the rain, reading her Bible, enjoying bonfires, and soaking up family time.
One highlighted verse in her Bible was Romans 5:3, which reflects on how suffering builds perseverance — a message that clearly resonated with her.
“Couldn’t be any more grateful to have had some time to slow down and see all of the amazing things happening in my life,” she captioned the post. “I have the best family and friends a girl could ask for. Truly. Thank y’all for allowing me this time too and all of the messages that were sent in love and support. Time to get back to it 🤍.”
Speaking Out About Struggles
Earlier this year, Langley opened up during an interview with Taste of Country Nights about the dual highs and lows she’s experienced in the spotlight.
“I’m gonna say that both of those is the same day, probably the awards show,” she said of the ACM Awards. “I just had a tough week that week, I know I’ve expressed that. It’s just the disease of my family, really. I think it’s important to talk about it and to share that just because I might seem like I’m on the top of the mountain right now, it doesn’t look like that all the time.”
Back on the Road
Now refreshed and ready to perform, Langley will return to the stage on Sept. 7 in Madison, Illinois. From there, her schedule remains packed with shows across the U.S. through early November, including both her Still Hungover Tour and supporting dates with Morgan Wallen.
After a season of reflection, Langley seems ready to embrace both the challenges and joys of life on the road again.
