Brandon Blackstock, a music manager and the former husband of singer Kelly Clarkson, has passed away at the age of 48 after a three-year battle with cancer. His family confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that he died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Blackstock’s death comes a day after Kelly Clarkson announced she was postponing her Las Vegas residency dates to spend time with her children. Clarkson had revealed the reason for her break was due to Blackstock’s illness.

Throughout his career, Brandon Blackstock managed notable clients, including his ex-wife, Kelly Clarkson, and country singer Blake Shelton. Blackstock and Clarkson were married from 2013 to 2022 and shared two children, River and Remington. He is also survived by two older children, Savannah and Seth, from a previous marriage.
