Travis Tritt Speaks Out On Mask Mandates At His Shows, Cancels Gigs With Mandates Of Any Kind

Country music star Travis Tritt has made a significant announcement, stating he will no longer be performing at venues with COVID-19 related mandates. In a statement released through his publicist, the artist declared his intention to cancel any upcoming shows that require fans to provide proof of vaccination, a negative test, or wear masks.

Tritt’s statement reads: “I’m putting my money where my mouth is and announcing that any venue or promoter mandating masks, requiring vaccinations, or pushing COVID testing protocols on my fans will not be tolerated. Any show I have booked that discriminates against concert-goers by requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID test, or a mask is being canceled immediately.”

He went on to express his support for those taking a stand against such mandates and referred to his decision as a “sacrifice that I’m willing to make to stand up for the freedoms that generations of Americans have enjoyed.” He also noted that he will continue to support venues that “appreciate fans and the freedom of choice.”

As a result of this decision, several of his upcoming concerts have been canceled. These include shows in Muncie, Indiana; Philadelphia, Mississippi; Peoria, Illinois; and Louisville, Kentucky. Tritt apologized for any inconvenience and mentioned that he would try to reschedule “unrestricted shows” in those areas as soon as possible.
