It looks like Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton might have another burgeoning music star in the family! On July 19th, Gwen’s 16-year-old son, Zuma Rossdale, took the stage at his stepfather Blake Shelton’s Old Red Bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, showcasing some serious musical talent.

Blake, the proud stepfather, introduced Zuma to the enthusiastic crowd. “Hey, hey, hey, what’s up everybody?” he called out. “We also have another up-and-coming artist who’s played here three or maybe three or four times now. And it’s exciting for us because we hear him sit around the house playing, and we’re always the ones saying, ‘Zuma, you gotta get out there and sing in front of people. You’re really talented.'”

A Nod to Country Classics and a Family Tribute

While the official Old Red Instagram video only captured Blake’s introduction, fans in the audience quickly shared Zuma’s performance on TikTok. Zuma, the middle child of Gwen Stefani and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, certainly impressed. He paid homage to ’90s country, belting out John Michael Montgomery’s “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).” He also tipped his black cowboy hat to Blake, performing “Ol’ Red,” Blake’s 2001 hit that inspired the name of his popular bars.

The 16-year-old sported a stylish color-blocked Western shirt, reminiscent of classic Garth Brooks attire, paired with a Western belt buckle and a guitar featuring an American flag design. After his set, Blake returned to the stage, thanking the crowd and playfully telling them they’d likely see Zuma on the CMA Awards someday, adding, “I saw ’em!” He also mentioned that Zuma had a merchandise table at the back of the room.

Musical Roots Run Deep

This isn’t Zuma’s first foray into the spotlight at Old Red. He made his stage debut there in July 2024, reportedly treating the crowd to Zach Bryan’s “Oklahoma Smoke Show” and “Revival.” According to Blake, Zuma has now performed “three or four times.”

It seems musical talent is a family affair! Zuma’s older brother, 19-year-old Kingston Rossdale, also performed at Old Red Tishomingo back in 2023, though his musical style is said to lean more towards grunge rock. We’ll have to wait and see what 11-year-old Apollo Rossdale brings to the stage!

Blake Shelton: A Dedicated Stepfather

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, and Blake has consistently emphasized how seriously he takes his role as a stepfather to Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. In fact, Blake has openly stated that he retired from being a coach on The Voice to prioritize family time with Gwen and his stepsons. In 2022, he explained, “Having kids, it truly does make you go, ‘Oh, whoa, wait a minute. This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again.’ If you don’t say that yourself, I think you’re only hurting yourself because you’re going to miss out.”

What a special night for Zuma and the entire family! It’s clear a star is being born right there in Oklahoma.
