You Belong Here”: Ella Langley Shares the Touching Advice Miranda Lambert Gave Her Before Their ACM Performance | Holler

Langley and Lambert’s dynamic rendition of Lambert’s classic “Kerosene”—a tribute to its 20th anniversary—was a definite highlight of the May ceremony. Their chemistry on stage was undeniable, solidifying their status as a formidable duo in country music. Beyond the spotlight, their bond has grown, with Langley consistently championing Lambert’s MuttNation charity, an organization dedicated to dog adoption and promoting the importance of spaying and neutering.

Manifesting a Dream Collaboration

In a heartwarming revelation, Langley disclosed that her connection with Lambert was, in a way, a dream she manifested two years prior. When asked about vision boards, the “nicotine” singer explained her annual tradition with her photographer, Caylee Robillard, and manager, Megan Hinde. “Every year I do one, and it’s crazy to see the things that are on there,” she shared.

Langley revealed the powerful impact of her vision board: “I had a big picture of Miranda Lambert on there two years ago, and it had a little book next to it about writing, and I got to write with her last year for the first time and it was just really cool…I even showed it to her. I was like, ‘Don’t think I’m weird!’” Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of new music from this highly anticipated writing session, hoping for a future collaboration between these two remarkable artists.

Words of Wisdom from a Mentor

Langley also recounted the supportive advice Lambert offered amidst the chaos of their ACM Awards performance. “The ACMs were absolutely insane, I had to change into that outfit from my [Red] Carpet outfit in two minutes,” Langley exclaimed, describing the frantic rush of getting ready.

Despite the hectic pace, Lambert offered a steady presence. Langley elaborated on their conversation, noting Lambert’s reassuring guidance: “She’s just been here before. There’s not really a rulebook to everything and I think everyone’s experience is different, but she can definitely have some advice on, ‘Well, this is what I’ve been through and this is how I can relate to that, and this is how I felt’.”

Langley concluded by sharing the profound impact of Lambert’s words during such a monumental moment: “You belong here, you belong here,” she recalled Lambert saying, “She kept killing the imposter syndrome in my brain.”
