Country singer Rory Feek denies claims of endangering daughter Indiana, 10, amid 'family dispute' - YouTube

A public family dispute has erupted involving country singer Rory Feek and his adult daughters, Heidi, 35, and Hopi, concerning the welfare of his 10-year-old daughter, Indiana. The sisters have voiced serious concerns on social media, alleging that Rory is preventing them from seeing their half-sister and placing her at risk due to his involvement with the Homestead Heritage community.

Rory, who garnered significant public support following the 2016 death of his wife Joey from cancer, addressed the situation in an August 31st blog post. He defended his parenting, stating that Indie, who has Down Syndrome, “has never been more loved or better cared for than she is right now.” Indiana was two years old when her mother passed away in July. Rory has since remarried Rebecca, Indie’s former teacher, writing in his blog that Indie now has a mother for the first time in her life. This statement reportedly deeply upset Heidi, who responded, expressing her continued grief for Joey.

Adding to the sisters’ worries is Rory and Rebecca’s apparent involvement with Homestead Heritage, described as an “agrarian and craft-based intentional Christian Community.” This highly religious group, which advocates for separation from the outside world, has a controversial past. Former members have described it as cult-like, and numerous individuals connected to the community have faced arrests and charges related to child abuse. While Rory acknowledged the presence of “a few bad apples,” the community has stated that it takes responsibility for uncovering and reporting any criminal activity.

According to an insider who spoke exclusively with Life & Style, Heidi and Hopi are “terrified that something really sinister is going on.” The source further revealed that the sisters have initiated a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for legal representation, explaining that after exhausting all other means of intervention, they now intend to pursue legal action.
