Ella Langley Shines Bright: Officially Takes Home Her First ACM Award!

Ella Langley just reached a golden milestone in her career: she officially received the New Female Artist of the Year award at the Academy of Country Music Awards! The exciting moment unfolded during her performance at Rock the Country in Knoxville, Tennessee, when she was surprised with a congratulatory video from none other than Miranda Lambert — the most awarded artist in ACM history.

It wasn’t a huge surprise that Langley won — she led the pack this year as the most-nominated artist at the 60th ACM Awards, with a total of eight nominations. Her fellow nominees in the category — Kassi Ashton, Ashley Cooke, Dasha, and Jessie Murph — each had only one nomination.

In her heartfelt video message, Lambert said:

“I’m so proud of you. You’re not just my friend, a fellow dog rescue advocate, but a co-writer, my soul sister in country music, and my partner in crime. We’re gonna celebrate big time in Dallas — and they aren’t even ready!”

Fun fact: Lambert won this very same category back in 2007, in between two superstars — Carrie Underwood (2006) and Taylor Swift (2008).

After receiving the news, Ella Langley shared her emotions in a video apparently filmed on her tour bus, wearing a T-shirt that read “Cowboys Do It Better.” Tearfully, she expressed:

“Every single day of my life, I’ve prayed and dreamed about this. Everything I’ve ever done was to get to this moment. I’m beyond grateful for the amazing team that stands with me.”

At just 25 years old, Langley is proving she’s just getting started. In addition to her big win, she’s also nominated for Female Artist of the Year, and has four nominations tied to her breakout duet, “you look like you love me” with Riley Green: Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year. Langley is also nominated as both artist and songwriter for Song of the Year, and as artist and director for Visual Media of the Year.

“You look like you love me” catapulted her to the top, reaching No.1 on the Country Airplay chart, No.7 on Hot Country Songs, and No.30 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut album hungover made waves too, climbing to No.11 on Top Country Albums and No.49 on the Billboard 200.

Ella Langley will be officially celebrated at the 60th ACM Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire, streaming live worldwide on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch on May 8 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT, live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

A brilliant new chapter has just begun for Ella Langley — and this is only the beginning!
